We Visited The Teaching Hospital in Port-Harcourt
By AHF BLOG
Miss Rasim Esther a 9 year old girl who hails from Emohua local Government area in Rivers State was shot 8 times at her home. She miraculously survived the shooting and was rushed to the University teaching Hospital in Port-Harcourt with several bullets embedded in her arm and leg, she had to undergo several surgical operations to remove the bullets in order for her to recover fully.
Miss Esther has spent about two months in the hospital in and out of surgery and her medical bills at the moment cost Two Hundred and Sixty Three Thousand Naira Only (N263, 000.00) which her parents cannot afford to pay.
The Arm of Hope Foundation has been able to pay part of the bill which enabled the hospital book her for another surgery on the 11th day of June 2019. Esther will be needing further medical attention after the surgery and we are yet to pay the outstanding balance.
We are calling on well-meaning Nigerians to join hands by making contributions towards Esther’s medical care. There are hundreds of patients who after treatment are unable to pay their bill and are held hostage by the hospital.
